Royal Papworth Hospital was founded as a colony for people with Tuberculosis in 1918, fast forward 100 years and Royal Papworth Hospital is now the UK’s largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital and the country’s main heart and lung transplant centre. We treat over 24,400 inpatient and day cases and nearly 73,600 outpatients each year from across the UK.

In September 2017 the Hospital was granted the title of Royal Papworth Hospital from Her Majesty The Queen, becoming the first royal hospital in the East of England. This was in recognition of its pioneering history and continued commitment to developing the treatments of the future.

Not only is 2018 our centenary year, in September the hospital will move to its new, state-of-the-art site on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

As you can see this is an extremely special year for the Hospital and to commemorate such an occasion Papworth Hospital Charity has brought out an exclusive range of branded Centenary Products  available to purchase via our Charity website and in our on-site shop.

These products are entirely exclusive and stocks are limited so if you would like to celebrate 100 years of Royal Papworth Hospital, get yours while you can!
