"Blisters and Tears" in memory of Neil Courtier On 2nd June, Gill Courtier and Sarah Truman began their walk along the 84 miles that make up Hadrian's Wall. In memory of Gill's husband and Sarah's good friend Neil, they have so far raised over £5600! Neil was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in 2017 when he was just 59 years old. He sadly passed away after four months, and Gill and Sarah are determined to raise awareness for IPF. Gill wrote on her JustGiving page: IPF is a progressive scarring lung disease that kills over 4000 people in the UK each year, the cause of which is unknown and the number of cases is increasing. The money the brave pair have raised will be donated to our Interstitial Lung Disease Fund (P8540), where it will help many more patients with lung diseases such as IPF.
