Support Royal Papworth Donate to an Appeal The Greg Mustill Patient Support Fund Donate Fundraise The Greg Mustill Patient Support Fund has been set up to support Patient Welfare at Royal Papworth Hospital. Greg Mustill received a life saving heart transplant at Royal Papworth Hospital when he was 19 yrs old. His new heart gave him 14 more years with his family and allowed him to start a family of his own. In collaboration with the Mustill family and Royal Papworth Hospital Charity, a fund has been set up in Greg's memory to support patient welfare at Royal Papworth Hospital. A note from the Mustill family: We feel really honoured that a fund has been set up in Greg’s name. He was such a wonderful husband, Dad, son and brother and it’s comforting to us as a family that he is being remembered in this way. Greg always said that he could never repay Papworth for what they had done for him so if we can continue to fundraise for the hospital and give even a little back then we are proud to. It’s even more important for us to continue to fundraise now that we have a fund to allocate the money to. This way it can be used specifically how Greg would have wanted. It was Greg’s wish for any money raised to be used in a hardship fund. His family knew only too well the financial pressures that can occur when a loved one is so poorly. We hope that some of the money can be used to assist with travel and accommodation and take some of those pressures off. We also hope that it can be used to benefit patient experience whilst they spend long periods of time in Papworth’s care - iPads, tvs and maybe even a games console would really help to make the waiting game more bearable! The fund can also be used to assist in buying necessary equipment for the wards. Ultimately we hope that the fund can continue to provide Royal Papworth Hospital, its patients and families with the help and provisions they need during stressful times. Donations for this appeal will be paid into Royal Papworth Hospital Charity's Greg Mustill Fund (P8573) where they will be used to support patients and families who spend extended periods of time at Royal Papworth Hospital. Earlier this year, the Mustill family held a disco and Family Fun Day, raising £4600 for the fund. Bella Mustill also bravely donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provide wigs to children that lose their hair following Cancer treatment. Bella and Billy Mustill along with their cousin and some friends also completed a 5k Insane Terrain Mud Run recently and raised over £700 for Greg's Fund. We can't wait to see what other amazing plans the Mustill's have to fundraise for Greg's Appeal!
