Volunteer Ambassadors Why do we need your help? At Royal Papworth Hospital Charity, we are continually amazed by the generosity displayed to us by our patients, their relatives and their friends. Support for the hospital is continually growing and as a charity, we endeavour to thank every one of our fundraisers and donors. The Volunteer Ambassador programme has been established to ensure that the hospital has the biggest possible reach to be able to appreciate the work our fundraisers do for us. How can you get involved? Volunteer Ambassadors can assist the charity in a variety of ways including: Raising awareness about the charity. Attending cheque presentations on behalf of the charity to express our gratitude and inform our fundraisers about where their money can go to make a difference. The management of collection tins, distributing and collecting them in their local area. What skills do you need to be a Charity Volunteer Ambassador? Reliable. Confident communicator - to express thanks on the charity's behalf. Enthusiastic. An ability to independently complete tasks. How much time will you need to give? There is no minimum time commitment that is expected as being a Volunteer Ambassador is flexible and any time given would make a huge difference to the charity’s capacity to support our fundraisers. What training/support will you get? • You will receive a full induction and training pack for help on how to be a Charity Volunteer Ambassador.• You will be assigned a dedicated member of staff as a direct contact for any questions or queries you may have. What can you gain from being a Charity Volunteer Ambassador? • The satisfaction of knowing you are making a valuable contribution to the hospital and its patients.• Meeting new people.• Adding value to the Royal Papworth Hospital community.• Utilising and enhancing your skillset.• Staying active. Where will you be based? You will be based in your local area with the option to attend events further afield if you wish to. What will you receive? As a Charity Volunteer Ambassador, you will receive a badge to wear; this will identify you as an ambassador of the charity. The fundraising team will provide you with all the materials to help you carry out your role. How do you apply?
