Why do we need your help?

At Papworth Hospital Charity, we are continually amazed by the support and generosity displayed to us by our patients, their relatives and their friends. Support for the hospital is continually growing and as a charity, we endeavour to support and thank every one of our fundraisers and donors. The Ambassador programme has been established to ensure that the hospital is able to support and recognise donors for their efforts accordingly.

How can you get involved?
Ambassadors can provide support in a variety of ways including:
• Attending cheque presentations on behalf of the charity to express gratitude and say a few words to the fundraisers about how the money will make a difference to the hospital
• Managing collections in your local area by placing and replenishing collection cans in shops, restaurants, garden centres etc
• Supporting events held by the hospital
• Raising awareness of the charity in your local area


What skills do you need to be a charity ambassador?
• Good communicator - confident to express words of thanks
• Enthusiastic
• Reliable
• An ability to work independently


How much time will you need to give?
This is a flexible role and there is no minimum time commitment as we realise that time is a precious commodity. Any time you can give will make a huge difference to the charity’s capacity to support our fundraisers.


What training/support will you get?
• You will receive a full induction and training pack for your role as a charity ambassador
• You will be assigned a dedicated member of staff as a direct contact for any questions or queries you may have

Where will you be based?
You will be based in your local area with the option to attend events further afield if you wish to.


What will you receive?
As a charity ambassador, you will receive a badge to wear; this will identify you as an ambassador of the charity. The fundraising team will provide you with all the materials to help you carry out your role.
