In memory of Andy who suffered from lung disease nearly all his life. Some six years ago his health deteriorated significantly and he was told he would not make it, but Andrew wouldn’t have that. He fought always to live his life and was transferred to Papworth, “his 5 star hotel” as he would call it! With Papworth’s expertise and brilliant dedicated staff he was able to live an independent life until this year.
He had quality time and happy memories that we can all treasure forever.

My Aunty Ivy passed away towards the end of 2017, just three months after my own Mum, which made it a very sad and distressing time for the Askin family, both in Yorkshire (where Aunty Ivy came from) and in Cambridgeshire where she lived for many years.
I'm fundraising in memory of Aunty Ivy to show support for our family in Cambridgeshire and to recognise the work the Papworth Hospital does in treating patients with heart and lung conditions.
