The overall responsibility of the Papworth Charity lies with Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, who is the Corporate Trustee. Royal Papworth Hospital is managed by a Board of Directors who in turn, make up our Board of Trustees - all board members are inducted as Trustees of the charity when they start their role at the Trust.
The Corporate Trustee fulfils its legal duty by ensuring that funds are spent in accordance with the objectives of the charity.
All members of the Corporate Trustee give of their time freely and no Trustee remuneration is paid. Members of the Corporate Trustee are required to disclose all relevant interests. The Charity does not directly employ any staff. Staff that work solely for the Charity are employed by Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and these costs are recharged to the Charity.
