We would like to recognise the amazing efforts that one group of people have gone to, to fundraise for Royal Papworth Hospital Charity over the last 9 years in memory of loved one Kim.

Kim underwent two heart and lung transplants and a triple heart bypass at Royal Papworth Hospital which gave her an extra 25 years of life! Although Kim sadly passed away, the 25 extra years allowed her to start her own family and create many happy memories. Kim's friends and family have tirelessly fundraised in memory of Kim and have so far raised an incredible total of over £16,900!!

The family have organised golf days every year since 2011 but in 2018 took a break from the golf days and organised a Charity Ball to celebrate what would have been Kim's 50th birthday.

Kiera, Kim's daughter told us,

Papworth gave my mum an incredible 25 years of life through two heart and lung transplants and a triple heart bypass. Not only did that enable her to have me, but she was around to (almost) see me become a teenager which is something she'd have never even dreamed of. My mum spent a lot of time in Papworth and their support and their work has been incredible so fundraising to show our appreciation for them is the least we can do.

We are all so grateful for the incredible work that Kim's family and friends have done  over the last 9 years to raise such an amazing amount of the money for the Charity.

Take a look at some of the photo's from the ball.
