On 25th September 2016, Michelle & Marcin took part in the Loch Ness Marathon Monster. Michelle & Marcin completed the course successfully and raised an amazing £1803.46. The funds raised are for the BPA programme at Royal Papworth Hospital.

BPA is a less invasive treatment which has been adopted for patients with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH), a condition which involves raised blood pressure within the pulmonary arteries in the lungs due to a build-up of fibrous material, causing narrowing in the arteries. Currently Papworth Hospital is the only centre within the UK to offer surgery for CTEPH, however only 60% of those diagnosed with the condition are suitable for surgery so Papworth specialists decided to adopt a less invasive procedure, which is already established in other countries, to treat inoperable patients.

The procedure is entirely funded by Royal Papworth Hospital Charity.

Thank you Marcin and Michelle for your support!
