When Greg was just 19 years old, Papworth Hospital saved his life with a heart transplant. Sadly, 14 years later Greg passed away, but his family and friends will be forever grateful for the extra time given to him. Greg's wife Stacey explains:

Greg was one in a million and was taken from us too soon. We will be forever grateful for the extra time we had with him with thanks to the expertise of Papworth Hospital, and we hope they can help more people like Greg.

Stacey and Greg's brother Danny raised funds in Greg's memory by organising a charity football match at Boston United Football Club. The fundraising team and Transplant team had the privilege of meeting Stacey and Danny and were presented with a cheque for £15,000.00; a staggering amount.

The fundraising didn't stop there, as Greg's children Billy and Bella took part in a non-sleep-a-thon on their late father's birthday to commemorate his life. Billy and Bella's efforts were inspirational and raised over £500 in memory of their father.
