New Special Advisor

You would think that after 30 years of practising surgery at world leading levels, Professor John Wallwork would be happy to settle into his retirement and enjoy his other passions of cookery and gardening. 

But anyone who knows him also knows that was never going to last long and we are delighted that he has agreed to work with the Charity Team as Special Advisor to help us to raise the funds necessary to keep Papworth at the forefront of medical innovation.

With Papworth's planned move to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus there will be many demands made on us over the next four years and Professor Wallwork is keen to do his bit to help.

'First Class'

"I am not going to do any more clinical work and I won't be going into private practice but I do want to help the health service to continue to provide first class care through innovation and the institute will play a major part in that".

We are all looking forward tremendously to working with John.
