Seasonal cheer raises £700

Mr & Mrs Minter and Mallard Ward staffFor the last twelve years, Victor and Margaret Minter have decked their house in Cottenham with elaborate Christmas decorations in order to raise funds for Mallard Ward. Victor underwent a heart bypass in 1999 and following his recovery decided to fundraise for the hospital. It’s a real family affair with everyone chipping in to help get the decorations in place and the festive spirit underway in November. Hundreds of people descend to see the illuminations every year with the switch-on alone attracting 200 visitors last year.

After twelve years of hard work, Victor and Margaret are hanging up their Santa boots. In February they handed over their final cheque for £700 to Gill Wright and Pam Fitzgerald which now takes their fundraising total to a tremendous £12,637!  Our thanks go to Victor and Margaret for their commitment and wonderful support over the years.
