1. Processing your order and payment
1.1 We accept payment by MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit. We do not accept American Express, Solo, Electron or Diners Club cards. Cheques and postal orders are accepted for postal orders only and should be made payable to Papworth Hospital Charity. Cheques should be crossed and have your address (including postcode), cheque card number and card expiry date written on the back. Please do not send cash through the post. CAF cheques are acceptable only where you are solely making a donation and not if purchasing any product, including virtual gifts.
1.2 All prices of products and delivery charges shown on our website are inclusive of VAT and are correct at the time of printing. For further information on delivery charges see the post and packing section. Those customers exempt from VAT charges (i.e. living in the Channel Islands) should put their claim in writing, along with a copy of this despatch receipt to the Charity Office, Papworth Hospital Charity, Papworth Everard, Cambridge CB23 3RE. For those customers who choose not to do this, the reclaimable amount will be accepted as a donation.
1.3 Calls to the Charity Office are charged at normal BT rates. Lines are open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
2. Goods
2.1 All orders will be subject to our acceptance of the order
2.2 Due to popular demand and occasional limited availability, our products may sell out quickly. If an item you have ordered is not available you will be notified.
2.3 Although we aim to describe and measure items as accurately as possible, occasionally colours, design and materials may vary slightly from those illustrated.
2.4 The donation amounts of our virtual gifts suggest how Papworth Hospital Charity could spend your money. However your donation helps the full range of our work at the Hospital and will be used where the need is most urgent.
2.5 If items within your order are permanently out of stock we will discuss with you a full range of options should you require them.
3. Delivery
3.1 Your order should arrive within 7-10 days, but please allow up to 28 days for delivery at peak times.
3.2 Orders received by 21st December will be delivered in time for Christmas where stock is available.
3.3 We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries or breach of our obligations, if the delay or breach is due to acts of God, civil commotion, riots, strikes, malicious damage, floods, drought, fire, flood, legislation, failure of ISP or telecommunications provider or other cause beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your statutory rights.
3.4 A postage and packing fee is not applicable for donations or the purchase of alternative gifts where other items are not included.
4. Cancellation and refunds
4.1 If you wish to cancel your order, or you are unhappy for any reason please contact the Charity Office on 01480 364 237
4.2 If you receive damaged products or we send a product in error or we supply you with a substitute for a product which is unavailable and you do not want the substitute please call the customer service team. You may return the products and a replacement or full refund will be provided, including the costs of returning the product to us.
4.3 If you cancel your order, or change your mind once you have received your order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's normal postage charge. Until the product is received by us, you must take reasonable care of it and ensure that it is returned to us in a re-saleable condition.
4.4 For full returns instructions please contact the Charity Office on 01480 364237. If you wish to return non-faulty goods, this should be done within 14 days of receipt. We offer a money-back guarantee on products returned in a good, unused condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Data protection
The information provided by customers will be held by Papworth Hospital Charity for processing and administrative purposes in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
6. Gift Aid
As the Gift Aid declaration covers donations made in the future, please notify the charity of any changes of name or address while the declaration is in force. You can cancel the declaration at any time by notifying the charity. From the date of cancellation Gift Aid will not be applied to any donation you make. You must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax that is at least equal to the tax that our charity reclaims on your donations during a tax year. If your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and/or capital gains, equal to the tax that we reclaim, you should cancel your declaration.
